Remeber This…

When i started this blog in Febuary i posted about us moving, and here i am 9 months later writing about it again. Back in febuary when we moved we were moving from our first ever “bought” home. We bought it in 2005 and lived there for 2years. When we bought it we were happy with the house. I knew it wasnt going to be our house we “settled” down in. I figured in 5yrs or so we would sell it and buy the house that we really wanted and that would be that. However many trivial months dealing with a horrible mortage Co and finding out that the man who sold us the house basically saw us coming and we unfortunatly didnt know what to look for so he screwed us by giving us the worst loan possible! So we decided to try and sell it, and hope for the best. So we moved out from the house and moved in to an Apartment. What a mistake that was, 3 months after living there i found a website that reviewed apartments. Ours was on there and the reviews were soo bad, and all that they said had happened to them was beginning to happen to us. How i had wished we had only found that site sooner. A week with out a water heater, toliets that didnt work, mold growing in the kids shower from an above apartments washer leaking, and these were considered “top of the line”apartments. Well we couldnt get out of there fast enough. When it came time for our lease to be up we couldnt find a house in the area we wanted so we decided to put all our things in storage and move all 4 of us plus 2 cats a dog and a hamster(RIP BALOU) into my godmothers tiny apartment that included her and her evil cat. It hasnt been as bad as you would think. As a matter of fact its been some what pleasent. Sure we all have our moments but all in all its be an ok experience. Three months have passed and last week we found “our” house. I am pretty sure God made the house for us. The location is PERFECT, the size is just right. We should be living there by next week. I am actually more excited then i was to move into our first house. Sure we are just renting this one, but it just seems so much more like home then the other one. Me and brad have made alot of mistakes in the past 7yrs when it comes to our finances. We are just now setting it all in order. I know from here we will only get better. We had a pretty rough past 2yrs. This ended up being longer then i wanted but i just wanted to share how blessed we are with getting this house and just how sure we have been pretty “unstable” for a while but we are definitly starting to stand “solid” now.

long story short – back in the day when we were like 11/12 we went to Youth camp. Jr Camp as a matter of fact. This was mid 90’s. When words like “totally” and “rad” were popular to say. My husband(not at the time of course) evidently thought it would be “totally cool” to take his name tag and change it from BRAD to RAD and wear it around the camp for all the “ladies” to see. I found this out because my best friend and him “dated” in jr camp and she shared this with me when me and brad were first dating. Since then i have called him “B-rad”. Some of our friends do too from time to time as well. He doesnt really like it, in fact it drives him up the wall. But that doesnt stop me from using it because i think its fun to say. ha ha ha… So anyways, evidently some how they got on nick names at work and his forman thought “b-rad” was just as “awesome” as i do and decided it had to be shared. Mr forman, i couldnt agree more… Thank you!
